Broken Wings

So Nicholas broke his arm at school on Friday the 13th! He wasn't a very happy camper. Actually he was fine until the nurse had to give him his Tylenol with Codeine. This kid WILL NOT take any kind of liquid medicine. He had to be held while it was squirted in his mouth. What a mess! It was all over his face, his neck, our hands. Poor kid! =( Then he had to wait to let it kick so they could wrap his arm. Finally, it was done and we were on our way home!

He wasn't too happy once he realized no bike riding and with the way his arm/hand was wrapped he couldn't play video games either. They sent him to a Orthopaedic doctor, on Thursday the 19th, to have him get a better look at it. Thankfully it isn't actually broke, but a bad fracture. They put him in a short cast that he will have to wear for 3 weeks. Dr. Roth told him he was grounded for 6 weeks.

Lucky for him, video games are back in the picture and he can't complain about having nothing to do!
